Hey guys, I've got some good news and some... well not-so-good news. Good news first :), with Malcom back posts will start coming out a little more quickly, and will be more interesting. Not-so-good news... With all of Bolt Creative's new Pocket God-related projects:

--- secret project (not even we betas know about it!)

--- Pocket God moving to other devices

--- Pocket God 2 (?)

--- Pocket Planet

--- and many other secret things including AWESOME new updates (I will post a spoiler of the new update shortly, and its APEtastic)

Because of this, and personal issues that are private, posts will be a little slow for the time being, until Bolt starts finishing up these projects :)... Anyway, this blog is like a ghost-land up in here, and needs some color and excitement, so to spice up the mood a little bit, here are your favorite, famous pygmies. Take a look:

I have been totally wrapped up in the LOST world, and have been in denial about the show finally ending (it was a brilliant ending, I mad add), so I have been a little slow on Pocket God news lately, since my mind is in LOST world. News Update!!!! (after a LOOONG time)

Hey Guys...

WOW! its been a long long time sine i have posted anything here. ive been very busy about a LOT of things... Anyways, this post is about news updates and the first one is:

YAY, the first build has just arrived!! it includes some simple functionality and the new skin pack which looks great... the current build doesnt have the new minigame, The Runs in it so we betas still dont know what the game looks like YET. but by the looks of it, the minigame could probably be like the iPhone App, Little Runner, where you can control the path of the one who's running and go as far as you can without bumping into anything. Dave says that the next build will probably be out this weekend. I guess theyre still busy with the port of Pocket God to Verizon Phones, which is the second news update.

So pocket god will be ported to the Verizon Phones. im not kinda familiar with verizon phones so i needed to Google them and i found out that they are the phones like the Motorola Droid, HTC Droid Incredible, Palm Pre and Samsung Rogue. I bet these are just some of the Verizon Phones but if you have one of em, youre in luck coz PG will be there SOON...

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, I'm just working out a few problems in the new update, and also Malcom has returned and will explain everything in his upcoming post. Also, don't think we forgot about the new teaser image for Bolt Creative's new game, or the fact that Bolt is making a special $2.99 version of Pocket God for the Ipad. Lastly, these upcoming weeks are going to be awesome and filled with glitch guides, beta posts, Dual Reviews, Theories, the 200th post, an updated Pocket God World, and loads of cool pictures and polls! Hey guys, sorry for the delay again, but I'm vacationing in an area with pretty bad internet connection, so I've been trying to make the best of my circumstances, but this is the first time I've been able to sign in for a week! :(

What Would You Do If You Controlled Pocket God...

Hey guys, check out some of the ideas that fans have come up with! Some of them are really awesome and original, take a look:

I had a suggestion about a genie a bit back, inside temple-ish pyramid which had a river(like the nile river - crocodile?) The idea was that there is a genie lamp, if you smash it against a pygmy it shatters and the pygmy falls into the river(a new lamp falling from the sky of course). But if you gently set it down and a pygmy picks it up, he will rub it and get sucked into the lamp. The lamp now glows purple, and if you put it by another pygmy he will rub it and the pygmy will come out a genie(purple pygmy with floating ghost tail - tail is always connected by a strand of it to the opening of the lamp). Now the other pygmies will start with their wish bubbles but way more often(and with more stuff - needing the outhouse, needing a cooked fish, etc.) Think of every idle being a new wish when the genie's out. The genie will grant each wish, but the wishes may or may not be good - ex. the pygmy wishes for a fish, he might get one, or he could get a burnt one and choke - ex. the pygmy wants the bathroom, he might get to go to the bathroom, or the outhouse could drop on his head and crush him, falling into the river. To get rid of the genie, smash his lamp on a pygmy and he will poof into a cloud of purple smoke and turn normal again.

They should add a moveable cload. A small cload you can move around, and if you poke it, it starts to rain. But: if it is hot (sun is big) the pygmies will go to the cload to cool down so they don't explode. If the sun is small, it will start to snow from the small cload instead. Then, we could do stuff with the snow, like burying pygmies with it.

Small News Tidbit

Hey guys, as you may have already known for a while, the newest Pocket God update is out, and its AWESOME.

I'm not the Dual Review writer here at the blog, so I'll just provide a few links for you guys, because at the moment i am very preoccupied with some huge changes coming to this blog!

We beta testers gave already gotten the new build for the next update, but there is nothing really new yet, just a few tweaks here and there, and a lot of glitch fixes.

I would sincerely like to appologize, however, for not being able to post last update's glitches, but I will post some new beta tester posts, and some other special offerings ;).

As of now, enjoy this awesome update, and share your stories with me (by video) at swiggy08@aol.com (were back to the old e-mail).

Hey guys, first off, I'd like to formally apologize on the one week delay of posting a new post! This never happens, and if you disagree, take a look at our track record ;). So much has happened recently that I am having trouble keeping up with everything myself. There are tons (and I mean tons) of news updates that Malcom and I need to get to, the end of Prison Break, Glitches, the 70,000th view post, the Beta Tester post, and many more. I will have a post explaining my delay and the problems going on shortly, but please have faith that everything will return to normal (except one big change) very soon. I am once again very sorry, and I don't want to speak for Malcom (like I usually do *cough* *cough*) but he is probably sorry as well.

Poll Result + New Feature!

Hey guys, to celebrate our 65th thousandth view, I have decided to reveal the results to a poll and add a brand-new, regular feature to the blog! I am very excited to add this new feature, and I think it will be a favorite immediately! So without further ado, and to stop all this suspense here is the result to a poll and the announcement of our very new feature here at The Pygmy Den:

Now if you are wondering which is our new feature, I will tell you shortly, and explain how I came to my decision.

First off, for the 4% of you who voted on pictures of the fans, I think thats a great idea, but not great enough to have its own post. However, if you want your picture posted on the blog, e-mail your picture to thepygmyden@gmail.com and I will post it like fan art. :)

Second, I tried putting 3 polls on the side of the blog a few months ago, but it didn't seem to work that well, and crowded the side of the blog too much. Also, that's not really a new feature... just an extension ;)

Third, videos. Videos are awesome, but I didn't think it could be its own post, since the Pocket Blog posts videos regularly. However, Malcom and I will start posting videos in some posts, and you guys can provide links to us in the comments section linking to your youtube videos, or any other videos you have, and we'll post them here.

Fourth... Old update pictures compared to new. Awesome idea, that I think will probably be added to the blog in the near future when Pocket God 1 begins to slow down a lot more, and new Blot Creative projects (maybe Pocket God 2) begin.

Hmm, fifth... now this was a very, very hard choice. Both options were such great ideas and both got high percentages, however, Malcom and I had to go with one, and only one FOR NOW. Coming in a close second place was "Pocket God-junkie of the week". This feature will probably make its way to The Pygmy Den in the near future, but for now, the new feature is "Our interpretation of the new icon"!

If you are wondering what this new feature is going to be like, its pretty simple, and pretty awesome! After the update comes out, Malcom and I are going to talk to each other and create a design of what we think the icon should look like based on what is in the update (sort of like Malcom's shark icon and eel icon from a while back). Then Malcom will draw and animate it, and we will post it on the blog shortly after the update has been approved!

Hey guys, Poll Week Madness is sadly coming to an end, but I have 2 more poll results right now and a new poll has already been added to the side of the blog. As of now, we will post the third and final part of Prison Break shortly (Date to be announced later), and then we will see if we will continue with a new story.

Well, because 32% of you guys preferred another blog design to this current one, Malcom and I will be switching the blog design during all major (world-wide) holidays, then back to the original once the holidays are over, for you 24% who prefer the original ;). Also, for those who chose the "Leave a comment option", no one actually left a comment under a post, so I have nothing new to share about that, but for future posts, leave comments and I'll feature them in the results post.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately, Malcom and I have been contemplating the future of our blog, and what new things were gonna do to make it even better. We've been doing a few things, that I can't just say yet, but its a HUGE change, and gonna be a big improvement, that some viewers will not like, but most will, and eventually everyone will come around, and see what the new "decision" enables us to bring to the blog. Fan Art 11 (A Tribute To Spidey)

Hey guys, this post is dedicated to one of the biggest contributors here at the blog, a huge submitter of fan art, and an all around Pocket God-Junkie, Spidey146! Take a look at some of Spidey's crazy, awesome, and outrageous pieces:

This first piece is a play on the "Return of the Pygmy" icon, except a little more gory. For those of you with weak hearts, or queezy stomachs, look away now, and maybe for the next 3 pieces as well ;). Great work Spidey, take a look:

Spidey's second piece features...a Spider (lol). Once again he made Pocket God a little less PG, and a little more...well...graphic. Take a look:

This last piece of Spidey's (in this post) is a modified version of "Good Will Haunting's" icon, except he zombified it a little. Awesome work Spidey, but I think you made it a little too graphic... Take a look:

Major News Update + "Spoiler"

*** Update: My idea for the update with help from a Pygmy Den-junkie***

I just got an e-mail from a fan of the Pygmy Den with his prediction of the update, and I think he may be spot on, or wayyyyy off...

His name is Gavin, and he said that he thinks that it will be like Doodle Jump, where you name your pygmies (doodler) different things to access different scenery and "easter eggs".

Playing off of Gavin's idea, I think it might be an underwater Doodle Jump-esque game and can only be accessed if you change your pygmies name to "bubbles" or something to do with water.

About the actual minigame, maybe if you get the pygmy high enough in the sky, when he falls he'll fall through an island and create a geyser that floods the screen, or maybe just goes down to a new underwater location.

Hey guys, Dave just announced (minutes ago) what the new update would contain (roughly), and how iot might influence the Pocket God game completely.

Here is his direct quote (do not read ahed if you do not want to be "spoilerified" (I know the word is spoiled but I like this more ;) ). He is speaking about what the next update will contain:

"its a new mini game with a new underwater location. and a new feature that everyone will like. it's a unique feature to the game. building off the way you can name pygmies."

My guess is as good as yours because we beta testers have not received any news or builds on the update yet, so we are completely in the dark!

...A new mini-game, hmmmm.

Malcom's (not so) Dual Reviews!

Hey guys,

Wow! It has been a long time since I last posted here, I was just too busy with school, beta testing, and internet problems that interfered with my regular posting. I'm sorry about that, and Allan's sister too.

So, the SOTI (State Of The Island) came out, and then update the update right after! I hope Apple's approval times are always like this for Pocket God updates! Great Job, Ice Hole is an update that includes Temperature Change, a Squid, a SwordFish, and my favorite, the ice geyser (easter egg). If you pinch the sun, it can change the temperature and it can freeze or burn the pygmies, depending on how big/small you make it. The burning pygmies (from the hot sun) burn a hole on the ice island. In this ice hole you can find the squid, the swordfish, and the ice geyser.

The icon for this update is alright with me, could've been better though, same goes for the Now Showing screen for GJIH (Great Job Ice Hole).

This update is probably the most gruesome update yet! I mean, pullin' heads off pygmies, pygmies impaled by the ice geyser, and sword swallowing! That's kinda harsh to small kids who play (and love) Pocket God. So we didn't get like an ice age or global warming in this update like everyone suggested but we did get the squid with a kinda cool microgame. I just think that the eating animation of the squid is too fast and I can't really see it that good. Ah, the ice geyser. I always liked hunting for easter eggs... don't worry guys, I'm not gonna spill the beans on how to make the ice geyser, but here is a hint: if you put something really heavy in the ice hole, you'll get something that is "pwnsome". Another thing that I don't like about this update is the swordfish. Whats wrong with the swordfish... It can't be cooked (future update?).

Oh, I almost forgot about the DLCs. They are AWESOME! This is my favorite and probably the best DLC that Davlan (Dave + Allan) have ever made. This DLC contains a dance cutomization pack with dances like single ladies, fan dance, stayin' alive, the robot, and my favorite, pants on the ground, with complete audio sung by Dave (I never knew he was the one that sung that until he said it in his SOTI). For those who are wondering what is this Pants on the Ground dance, it was a song Larry Platt (a 62 year old dude) sang in the American Idol Auditions that became a hit (which simon guessed correctly). I would give this update a B+ and an A++ for the awesome DLC pack. I wonder what the next update might contain, comment below with your ideas.

Technical Difficulties

***The problem has been solved, thanks for anyone who volunteered to help, but I managed to fix the problem, while also bringing our blog more into the future for formatting and design, and controlling better posting, by updating our blog. The blog will look a lot more "colorful" now!***

We are experiencing major technical difficulties on the blog.

Our posts formatting as we write the posts are very disoriented, and posting photos is becoming increasingly hard, for we cannot see the photos when we draft posts.

Malcom will try and fix this early tomorrow, so hopefully we can resume posting at a continuos pace, and talk about the new update, show photos, dual reviews, spoilers, cool pictures, glitches, the pocket god world (looks awesome), and all that very, soon.

For now, there is an awesome spoiler game located underneath this post!

Really Quick News Update

Hey guys, swigo8 here with a very quick news update, and a couple spoilers and hints.

First, we betas have started receiving builds, and we are already testing build number 2 (of around 5).

The update will most likely be submitted by Thursday or the end of the week.

Second, beta tester hdgreen posted some "spoilery" news about the upcoming update. (Note: he says the update is called Nice Job Ice Hole, but he made a typo, it is actually called Great Job Ice Hole.)

For those of you over at the TA forums, you probably understand this photo a little more (SPAM = Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Messages), we used to have some problems with spamming over there, thus explains the photo. What If...

Hey guys, I know it's hard to admit, but have you ever wondered about the end of Pocket God.1.? What it would be like? How it would end? What would happen? What the game would be like?

Well, personally, I have, and over at the TA Forums, we had a big discussion about it, and I gave my input on how Pocket God.1. would end. Here is my idea:

Personally, I hate thinking about the end of Pocket God.1., but if/when it does "end" (a very loose term), I would like to see this...

The pygmies find a lever on its own island once you flick them in the volcano 9 times in a row. There is a tiny piece of land, just like a clump of sand in the middle of the ocean, with a silver lever on it, with a red "handle". If you drag the pygmy to the lever it tries to pull it, but is unsuccessful. The only way the pygmy is ever able to pull this lever is if you reach Demi-God (subject to change) in every Achievement in Pocket God.1.

If by chance you do happen to reach Demi-God (per-say) in every achievement, then you have to flick the pygmy 9 consecutive times in the volcano (shouldn't be hard for a pro), and then the pygmy goes on the island, and pulls the lever, and then the screen pans out and you see the volcano erupt violently, and shake the screen, then lava rains down on Octopus Island, only, and then finally after all the pygmies on the island jump in the water and drown, and the statue crumbles, the top if the screen fills up with lava (like James Bond), and then the screen cuts to a drawing (by Allan) of a pygmy pulling the lever (the pygmy has the same face basically as the icon of "New Home", when he found the egg). Then the screen slowly goes black, and says, "Stay tuned for Pocket God.2. (insert name of the new Pocket God)". Then an option comes up after a determined time, and reads, "Click to keep on playing, or link to Pocket God.2. in the iTunes store."

That's my idea anyway ...

Pygmy Search Results

Hey guys, after weeks of looking for more glitches, trying to find more cool pictures, looking for news on the new update, beta-testing, and trying to manage the blog during this period of long-wait, I have FINALLY gotten around to revealing the winner and the answers to the "Pygmy Search" game!

Congratulations to Brendan for finding ALL of the pygmies faster than anyone else!

In total, there were 16 pygmies to find, and some were pretty tricky, because a bunch of you who sent in guesses, thought there were only 14, or 15.

Prison Break: Battle From Within

Hey guys, I just got back from vacation, and I had no internet, so I couldn't post that much, but I'm back now, so here is the long-awaited sequel to Malcom and my Pygmy Adventure Series: Prison Break. Part 2, entitled Prison Break: Battle From Within.

The concept and summary was by me (swigo8), but the story itself was written by Malcom, and he did an amazing job! Sorry it took so long! Take a look:

Prison Break: Battle From Within

CRASH!!!

Ryan jumped out of his bed shocked by the startling noise. As he hastily got up, he tried to figure out where the noise came from, but then felt something gently touch him from under his bed. He looked under his bed and saw something very familiar... Ryan grabbed what was under his bed and dragged it under his bed lamp. Once he got a clear visual, he immediately dropped it as soon as he saw that he was actually holding a real pymgy!

"Hello Ryan, you know me right? Im your favorite Pygmy when it comes to torturing, right? After all I am The Boss... and being The Boss has its privileges," the pygmy said, "Tribe Nuwakuu, get Ryan!" Ryan, whom still could not believe that the Pygmies came out of his iPod, into real life, tried to move but couldn't. Something was holding him. He turned around and saw that the other 5 pygmies were holding him, and he realized that he couldn't break free from their hold, no matter how hard he tried! The Boss said, "Oh, don't move Ryan, we will just get rid of you slowly and painfully!"

Ryan screamed and looked around him to see if there was something he could use to get rid of the Pygmies, and escape without injury. As he looked around the room, he saw a ball, a bunch of papers, a heavy book, and a hockey stick. "That'll do," he thought to himself. He reached for the stick and swung it at the pygmies holding his feet. He got his feet free and stood up, went for his iPod, which he placed in his pocket, and then for the door. He quickly locked it, but the pygmies were breaking his door down using their bones, and slowly getting through. Ryan tried to think of a good place to hide... The School's Cafeteria, he thought!

When Ryan finally got to his school, he thought to himself, "Why did I choose to go here?" After rethinking his decision, he realized it actually was the best hiding place, and shrugged, then went to the cafeteria. When he got to the cafeteria, he saw mean, old Ms. Schwartz sleeping on one of the tables. He thought that if she caught him being there in the middle of the night, she would (again) shout at him. So Ryan tried closing the door to the cafeteria quietly, but instead it made a loud creaking noise that made Ms. Schwartz wake up. "Who's there?" Me. Schwartz crackled. Then she saw Ryan at the door. "You again? What are you doing here in the middle of the night?!" But before Ryan could answer, there was a noise echoing in the school corridors. Ryan pleaded to Ms. Schwartz, "Shh! They're coming! Quick, hide!!" "Why? Why would I hide? Who's coming? You'd better tell me right now Ryan or i'll give you Detention EVERYDAY!!" "Alright, alright, relax," he mumbled. "These little prehistoric people from a game in my iPod are heading right for us, and now they are out and trying to kill me!" Ms. Schwartz laughed, "Ryan, thats the dumbest excuse you've ever said to me. Now let me check what that noise is, it might be the police looking for you, you little delinquent.

Ms. Schwartz headed right for the door, and then Ryan heard her scream at the top of her lungs. There was a crash, a punch, and a loud thud... then silence. Ryan was hiding behind the garbage can, trying to see what happened to old Ms. Schwartz. "I wonder if she's dead," he thought. But before he could check, the Pygmies came barging into the cafeteria. "I gotta get out of here," Ryan thought. He ran as fast as he could while trying not to be seen by the savage Pygmies. Fortunately, the Pygmies didn't see him... but unfortunately, they heard him.

The Boss said, "After him, don't let him escape! Go wherever you think he may hide, now!" Ryan was now out of breath, he stopped at the janitor's closet and opened the door, but there was a pygmy inside! Shocked by his discovery, he ran into the science lab for safety. Panting like a dog, he opened the door again, only to find that The Boss was searching there as well.

Out of ideas, Ryan ran to the last place he would ever have thought of... The Girl's locker room. Luckily for Ryan, there were no pygmies to be found. "Alright, I think im safe for now. I gotta call for help," he thought. He pulled the iPod from his pocket to Tweet someone because he didn't bring his iPhone. When he looked at his iPod, he saw that the App Pocket God was still on... He tried pushing the "plus button" to see if any pygmies would come out, but to his surprise not even one pygmy appeared.

BAM!!! As Ryan tried to open up Twitter, the door to the girl's locker room was slammed open, and all the pygmies, including The Boss stood in front of him. "Get him," yelled The Boss! Ryan was startled because of the crash, and accidently he dropped his iPod on the ground, and something happened...

All the pygmies (except The Boss) started to levitate! The Boss said to his minions, "What the heck?! You're all still affected by the game?... Good thing Ryan made me Invincible awhile back..." Ryan tilted his iPod where The Boss was standing and the pygmies all flew into The Boss. BANG!!! All the pygmies collided and hit The Boss hard, knocking him to the ground.

Ryan quickly went for the door again. He checked his iPod and he saw that it had only 10% battery remaining. "Oh no! How can I defeat the pygmies without my iPod?" he thought. Ryan was trying to get out of the school when a Pygmy grabbed him by his leg. He screamed and looked at his iPod, then quickly performed the pygmy dance, and the pygmy let go, without a choice.

When he got outside, the Pygmies were coming for him. So he used the Statue's Easter Egg to get rid of all of 'em. "You Know You Like Pocket God!" ... The five pygmies turned into dust! Ryan checked his iPod and saw that the five pygmies were back into the game and were controlled by him again, as if nothing happened. But from the ashes of the dead pygmies, The Boss emerged, still living! Ryan quickly made one of the pygmies in his iPod go fishing,y and then overcook the fish. When the fish was finally overcooked, it disappeared from the screen and dropped from the sky in the real world. "This burnt fish is one of the ways to get rid of Invincibles," Ryan excitedly thought. The Boss was going for the fish, and everything was working out perfectly! The Boss began to lift the fish slowly, and drop it into his mouth, but then, all of a sudden, the overcooked fish disappeared out of thin air.

Ryan checked his iPod and saw that it had no battery remaining! The Boss said, with an evil grin on his face, "Hehehehe, now its just you and me Ryan!" ... ... ... ...

What will happen to Ryan next? How will he get home and put The Boss back in his iPod? Find out in part 3 of 3 in the Prison Break trilogy...

Episode 50: A "fAnny" story

Title: The Last Pygmy

Icon: The Pygmies with a strange green glow on top of them, and the pygmies are floating.

Synopsis: Tap the red star at night and an alien ship comes to whatever island you are on and abducts the pygmies. After the pygmies are in the ship, the ship drops a bomb on the island and destroys it. It flies up onto mars and then it shows a pygmy looking out the window and it shows the first island cracking apart and the pygmy has a really scared look on its face. Finally when they reach Mars. The aliens put the pygmies into space suits and bring them into the space station. Suddenly you are in control of the pygmies again. But you have an order. You have to put the pygmies into the vent and once the get into the vent. They crawl out and see and exit sign on the door. It says TO BE CONTINUED. It cuts to the credits.

Title: Pocket God 2: The Great Escape

Update Details: Each introduce a new feature and set of levels.

Game Details: The game is in third person. It is in 3D. The villains are the aliens. Idea: The goal of the game is to escape the alien planet, get to the ship, and get to the one remaining island. Powers: You have to use powers from the first game and new powers to kill the aliens.

Sypnosis: A new jungle island that does not have water in the backround but there is a river in the front of the screen that has all the features of the ocean except the shark is replaced with an alligator and under water the alligator has a laser too and the pirannas are still there is added and it has: a venus fly trap that when you tap it it eats the first pygmy that walks past it,a snake that comes out when you flick a pygmy and the pygmy lands in the big bush in the backround the snake slithers on screen and he bits pygmys who then turn blue and drop dead the only way to get rid of him is by picking up a pygmy and dropping it on top of the snake,a statue of a turtle and when you tap its shell 4 times all the pygmys start to go really slow and then a snail goes on screen and when he slides all the way off the screen they go back to normal speed,and a banana tree and you could either tap it once and one banana falls down or you could hold your finger down on the banana tree for 15 seconds a gorilla comes on screen and you have to fight him with a spear just like the T-Rex and the Barking Spider.

Title: Pocket God 2: Pygmies of the Carribean

Synopsis: The pygmies are taken by pirates and taken to the pirate island. All the pygmies are taken hostage. One pygmy (the pygmy you choose) gets free. Now the chosen pygmy is forced to save the other five pygmies, get off the pirate island, and get back to the island of the oog.

Gameplay: This is a third person game. You play as a pygmy you choose. To kill the pirates, you must use powers from "Pocket God". The new powers are things you unlock off the pirate island. If you beat the game, you get the pirate island as an island in Pocket God.

Great work guys, hopefully these ideas will be in Pocket God (2) soon! ;)

Pygmy Search

Hey guys, this post is another game having to do with the Pocket God World, inspired by spidey146's idea of a find the differences in the Pocket God World! However, this game is just a tad but more complicated, here are is the overview:

Overview:

There are a bunch of hidden waving pygmies lost in the Pocket God World: version 12.5, and it is your job to find them. All the pygmies look the same, but range in size, form big-normal-tiny. I will post a picture of what type of pygmy you are looking for lower down.

Your job is to find all the "waving" pygmies lost in the Pocket God World faster than anyone else. However, I am not going to tell you how many pygmies there are! When you e-mail me your submission, all you have to tell me is how many pygmies there are, and where 3 of them are.

Rules:

1.) Once you think you have found all the pygmies in the Pocket God World, e-mail me how many you found and where 3 (no more, no less) are located.

2.) If you comment below saying where some of them are, you will be disqualified, and your post will be deleted.

3.) I will post the post both the original Pocket God World and the one with the pygmies in it. You will have to figure out your own method for finding them.

4.) Each pygmy counts as one.

5.) Look far, look close, look for big, look for small, look high, look low, these pygmies are scattered everywhere!

Beta Tester Builds: The Pyg Chill

***Note: We are officially over 50,000 views!!! To celebrate this, Malcom and I will release Prison Break 2: Battle From Within very shortly (it is written by both Malcom and I)!***

Hey guys, this is the first time any Beta Tester builds have ever been revealed to a non-beta tester! I hope your excited, because some of these glitches and early models are wacky, crazy, funny, odd, and just outright outrageous and ridiculous! Luckily, we betas found the glitches and stopped them ;) :p Take a look:

This is what the Ice Monster looked like in the first build. All it did was stand there and move sometimes. Check out the difference in the skin now compared to what it used to look like, same with his claws. Also notice how thin the tree was, and how little snow it had on it, and also where the iceberg in the background is.

During some of the builds, Dave had to change some textures, and Ooga Jump got all screwy, so check out what it looked like during builds 2-4:

This next photo was a funky glitch that seldom occured in builds 1 and 2, check out the GIANT Ice Monster:

During builds 3-5, the DLC packs were also a little screwy, and some of the names and objects did not match up, check it out:

Also, around build 2, the achievements hadn't been set yet, so look what it would say when we took down the Ice Monster (Mister Chill):

Also, this glitch is still around, but a little different. When the logs got stuck in the air, then you switched islands, the textures of the logs changed, and they looked like this:

Around build 2-5 this happened... Barking Spider, or Pyg Chill???

I personally found this glitch on build 3. Flipping the Bird has a lot more meaning now ;)

Also, in build 2, when Dave was getting the DLC ready, he had to optimize objects again, so the outhouse looked like this when summoning a tsunami:

Lastly, during builds 2-4, there were a lot of texture problems, so if you look closely at this next photo (very closely (click to enlarge)), you will notice that the "bubbles" are actually baby, yellow spiders. Take a look:

Find The Differences

Hey guys, spidey146, a senior member over at the TA Forums, came up with a great idea for the blog. He thought that I should do a "find the differences" game in the Pocket God World. I immediately thought this was a great idea, and then immediately went to work on the Pocket God World and made two versions (one normal, and one with differences). Here's more info:

The first picture I am going to post is the original Pocket God World: version 12.5, and the one after that is the Pocket God World: 12.5 with a few changes, additions, subtractions, and flaws that you will have to find (if you want).

Rules:

There are a total of 16 differences, once you find all 16 (not 15 or less, but ALL 16), e-mail me and I will announce you as the winner when I do my post revealing all the differences. The post with the results and answers will be posted sometime next week :)

Here is the original version 12.5 without any differences:

Use this as a reference for what the Pocket God World should look like.

More Rules:

1.) Do not count 3 changes to the same object (for example) as 3 changes, it is just one!

...Example: If I change all the leaves on the palm tree that is one change not 3

3.) Have fun, and comment below telling me whether or not you like this game :)

Some tips:

Print both Pocket God Worlds and circle the differences so you don't count the same thing twice.

Keep a checklist.

Use photoshop instead of printing it out, if you want.

Be quick, but careful, you only get one submission!

The Pyg Chill: Bugs n' Glitches

Hey guys, I had nothing to do the other day so I decided to hunt for glitches ;) I found a few glitches. Some of 'em are old, some of 'em are not that great because Dave really did a great job with the cleaning up of the update, but some are new and awesome! :p So here they are:

***Note: The description of the glitch is under the picture of the glitch***

Invi-So-Pygmies
•go to sand island

•whip up a hurricane

•while the pygmies are being scared because theyre about to get sucked in the hurricane,

•quickly do the "you know you like pocket god" thing of the statue

•as a result, pygmies become transparent and invincible

Flying "Wood"
•go to egg island
•repeatedly tap the fire icon
•all/two of the firewood will get stuck in the air
•go to other islands and the logs will have texture problems

Cannibal Glitch +1
•do the cannibal glitch
•when the pygmy falls on the water from choking, drag a lightning on the bonfire and a bird burns and becomes invincible.

Electric Water
•throw the bird on the water
•quickly drag a lightning bolt where you threw the bird
•the bird will be burned on the water

Outa My Hands
•pick up the shark
•drop him anywhere
•in the place where the shark fell, try to grab the shark again
•surprisingly, you CAN grab the shark again...

I didn't pay for that

.Purchase the Halloween DLC

.Go to the Christmas Pack DLC

.Change the fish to gummy, the bird to toy bird, and the Volcano to Santa's Workshop

.Press back and then the "X" and you should have all three of those things

Confused Fish (By hitom)

.Go to Egg Island and burn the fish using the bonfire

.Switch to Ice Island and "drop" the fish in the igloo

.It won't go in the igloo, but pretend it does, by dropping it where the hole on the top is

.Put a pygmy in the igloo, then take him out and get him to eat the fish

.Then make sure the fishing icon is on, and the fish should be swimming in the background of the Ice Island

.Also, your fish should now be a little "off" when swimming on any island now, he will swim on the island a little bit until you quit-out of Pocket God

Strong Rod

.Touch your pygmy, and hold your finger on him

.Use gravity to slide him left

.Do not remove your finger!

.Slide him over so he picks up the fishing rod

.Remove your finger while he's fishing

.The fishing rod should stand up on its own

Pygmy-in-the-water

.Touch your pygmy, and hold your finger on him

.Use gravity to slide him left

.Do not remove your finger!

.Slide him over so he picks up the fishing rod, get a fish on the line

.Remove your finger while he's tugging the fish

.Wait 10 seconds and your pygmy should be fishing while in the water

Bent Rod

.Get your pygmy to fish

.Hook a fish

.Tilt your iDevice while the fish is tugging

.The rod should be bent

Rudolph

.Go to Egg Island, and make sure the egg and T-rex icons are on

.Drop the egg three times

.The texture on the egg should be "off", so baby Dino's nose should have a piece of the present on it, making him look like Rudoplh ;)

Disappearing Pygmy? (by hitom)

.Go to Ice Island, and make sure the igloo and fishing rod are turned on

.Put a fish into the top of the igloo

.Touch your pygmy, and hold your finger on him

.Use gravity to slide him left

.Do not remove your finger!

.Get your pygmy to crawl into the igloo by using gravity slides

.When he goes into the igloo and starts cooking the fish, remove your finger

.He will appear back out, but then he will disappear, and then reappear by crawling out of the igloo again

.Other things can happen as well

Porta-Potty disaster (by hitom)

.Go to Egg Island

.Touch your pygmy, and hold your finger on him

.Use gravity to slide him left

.Do not remove your finger!

.Slide him over so he ends up entering the outhouse

.Let go of your finger as he is going to the bathroom

.His name-tag should bounce up and down rapidly, and the sound function should be messed up

Texture Atlas screw up

.Drag you pygmy above the Ooga Jump clouds on any island

.Don't drop him!

.With a different finger, and still holding the pygmy, click the map icon

.This should happen:

.Let the pygmy fall, and depending on what island you are on, you will get different texture atlas pictures:

Hey guys, its time again for your favorite seven words...

The Pocket God World Has Been Updated!

I am going to treat this like Dave's SOTI (State Of The Island)...

This was one of the most challenging, time-consuming updates I have ever endured. I have been working on this update for a week now, and I have been trying to perfect every detail, to the best of my ability, while also trying to remain sane ;)

On the technical side, I updated the Pocket God World with the thought that one day there might be another location on the other side of Graveyard Island, so instead of adding the Ice Island on the right side as usual, I decided to go against tradition and add the Island on the left side of the screen. At first I thought this would be easy, but I was highly mistaken! I had to rearrange the doodler clouds towards the top of the screen, move the doodler, match the shadows and the new cloud I added, and the hardest thing I have ever done... I had to round out the underwater statue so everything flowed together.

Not only have I added the long-awaited Ice Island, but I added the new baby spider in the web on Graveyard Island, I also added my signature (swigo8) somewhere in the image so no one could copyright me :p The first person to find my signature please comment below, and I will announce your name on my next post as the first one to find my signature.

Lastly, I worked on optimizations to make the Pocket God World "flow" better and also maintain the high definition quality without enlarging the .psd or .jpg file too much. To do this I merged many layers and copy/pasted the entire image on a larger canvas while still keeping the exact measurements. This enables people to put the Pocket God World as their desktop screensaver, their iDevice screensaver, or just send it to friends without having to unzip/zip the .dmg file.

Hey guys, I am very sorry that I didn't get to post this on the 22nd like I said I was going to, but I just got backed up with soo much work...The new Pocket God World, Glitches, Blog Improvements, Posts, Playing this update, school work, and Oh Yeah... BETA-TESTING ;)

I was going to post this sooner, but Malcom ended up going first and I didn't want to take away from his lime-light.

So here's my story:

(brought to you by...)

About a month ago, Dave and Allan were looking for a new batch of people to make them Beta Testers. They went through many people, and many choices, but they eventually settled for 4 new people to join the team of Pocket God Beta Testers.

I was just as shocked as you are reading this, and I immediately responded to his e-mail with all my information and then received the newest build for The Pyg Chill! The update started off a little rusty, and was very glitchy, but that was normal for firs builds all the old Beta Testers told me.

There were a total of 4 new people added to the Beta Testing Team, and luckily Malcom and I both were added, so there was no jealousy, and we could work together to test for glitches, and talk about the future of the blog, without anyone being "higher" than the other.

Now, I have heard people ask about how to be a Beta Tester many times in the comments section, and many people over at the TA Forums, constantly have fights about how to become one, who gets to become one, and why they have not become one yet. So I am going to tell you first hand, the way to get your chances higher for becoming a Beta Tester, here they are:

1. NEVER ASK TO BE A BETA TESTER - Before I was a Beta Tester (Beta), I never once asked to become one. This annoys Dave a lot, trust me!

2. Look for glitches - Always try to find as many glitches as possible for each update (don't copy other people's), and make a list of glitches, and make sure you post that list somewhere where Dave will see.

3. Make yourself, and Pocket God more know - Make a blog, post in the Touch Arcade Forums, post in The Pocket God Forums, comment on the Pocket Blog! Also, bring the fan-base up for Pocket God by making it more interesting, and making it "new" again (you have to figure that one out for yourself).

4. Fan Art - This is not required, but helps. Make a lot of GOOD fan art, and post it where people can see, or e-mail me at swiggy08@aol.com and I'll post it here.

5. Be patient!!!! - Don't rush Dave or the process, it will just get you moved down on the long, imaginary list of people waiting to become Betas.

You will soon be a...

I hope this helps, and I hope you don't treat me any differently now that you know I am a Beta.

***Lastly***

Because Malcom and I are both betas now, this will help us have EVEN MORE POSTS on the blog! We will be able to find glitches faster, we will also start posting a post that shows what Beta Testing glitches looked like! This will be the first time any non-beta will be able to see what Pocket God builds look like, so get excited, and I will post them shortly!

The Ice Monster functionality is my favorite part of the new update, so I have been spending most of my time battling and defeating him. During this time I figured out a few very important tricks and tips that will help anyone beat the Ice Monster, and quick! Take a look at the 9 easy tips:

1•Turn off the shark and the bird when the battle is on - You don't want to accidentally tap them when you are in an epic fight

2•Always have a fish and a pygmy inside the igloo - You never know when you will really need the Igloo Cannon

3•Always do a relatively "medium-powered" flick - Doing a low and max-powered flick only makes the pygmies miss

4•The Ice Monster is vulnerable when it is recharging - The Ice Monster recharges when it stops moving, and usually has its mouth open

5•The Ice Monster does not recharge when its running, and it also almost always deflects a pygmy when its running, so wait for it to stop running before flicking a pygmy at it

6•Aim for the mouth - Aim towards the middle of the screen, because if a pygmy lands in the Ice Monster's mouth, it will cause double damage!

7•Time it - I know that it is hard to shoot a moving target, but if you can hit him twice without him recharging, he will get dizzy, and when he is dizzy, his mouth is unprotected

8•Place your pygmies on strategic points on the island - Place him right under where the Ice Monster usually is, or where he is passing, this makes for easier/more direct flicks

9•Take your time, don't panic - It's ok to take your time because as I have said, the Ice Monster does not recharge when its running, be patient and I'll guarantee your success

Now you are a certified Ice Monster hunter, and I'm sure you will get low scores all the time, like I do :p

PS: I got 9 pygmies as my highscore with the help of these tips

Hey guys, Pocket God Episode 29: The Pyg Chill is out!!!

I did not expect the update to be out this early at all, and I am pretty sure both Dave, Allam, and all of you guys are pretty shocked as well! Only 8 days for Apple to approve... WOW!

Well, I will post more about the update in the morning, along with Malcom's Dual Review, coming shortly, but meanwhile, enjoy the awesome, brand-new update! It truly is the greatest Pocket God update yet!

Pocket God Episode 30: Good Job, Ice-Hole

It is a play on words (Ice-Hole sounds like a "bad word"), and there is going to be an Ice-Hole on the new Ice Island, and maybe something else, but that is all Dave has confirmed. Also the update after that is most likely temperature change to end the trilogy (this came from Dave himself).

I will post more information about The Pyg Chill update tomorrow. For now, just enjoy!

Spoiler #2 Revealed

Method of solving: Drag the top piece to the bottom, the bottom piece to the top, and keep the middle piece where it is. :)

This spoiler is one of the new DLC for the meteor on Octopus Island! It features a pygmy frozen in a "ball" of ice.

Once again, if some of you do not like these games, I am sorry, I am just trying to make the wait for the update easier by providing a spoiler a day and a game a day, so there is something to keep you occupied :p

Lastly, I read that Malcom announced that he is a Beta Tester :o! What do you guys think of that? I was pretty surprised myself when I heard!

Malcom's Dual Reviews!

Hey guys,

The SOTI's out and it is time once again for Malcom's Dual Reviews!

The reviews, however, will probably have some changes in it. How/Why is it going to change? Well, I've got some big news for you guys...

Around the beginning of November I received an e-mail from Dave telling me that I am a BETA TESTER!

I have been testing this update for the past weeks and I have to say, this is the BEST update so far!

So the icon is really... nice. I didn't expect that Allan would put the IceMon (Ice Monster) in the icon though. I thought that maybe a part of the new island or something would be put in instead, but it's still really awesome looking! However, I'm still waiting for another EPIC icon from Allan.

On a different note, these are the times I was worried about for Pocket God. The times where Pocket God gets closer, and closer to its end and the time for Bolt Creative to replace it with a sequel or another game :( I cant even think of what kind of update Pocket God will have after the ice trilogy, but I hope before this trilogy ends, Davlan (Dave + Allan) does something special for Pocket God's Anniversary. Unfortunately, Dave didn't say anything about the anniversary though. :(

So the update... As Dave said, its "worth" two and a half updates in one, which makes your wait worth it! This update has NO LAGS, the new island which has an igloo, a tree on the side of the ice island, a glacier in the background that turns into the IceMon when you flick a pygmy into it, and the new map feature! The new igloo also has tons of functionality: the pygmies can "hangout" in it, cook fish in it, blast a pygmy to the ice monster, and even a couple other things ;)

The IceMon is diffrent from the other Creatures of Pocket God though. Instead of using a spear to "kill" it, you flick pygmies. This is great because the IceMon has offenses and defenses based on what you do with him and all you have to do is play with it a little, and you'll get used to battling it... I'll also put an achievement post on how to battle the IceMon easily after the update is approved.

The new map screen is also great. It has a cool transition when it goes on/off. Oh, and the Holiday Skin Pack is awesome! It provides skins for tons of objects, just like the halloween pack. There are skins for the bird, the volcano, the statue and A LOT of other stuff.

My only regret is too bad they didn't do the temperature change in this update. :( But if they did, this update would be the greatest update in Pocket God history. However... Swigo guessed what the trilogy would contain based on Dave's hints and information, take a look:

Ice Hole --> Great Job, Ice-Hole

Temp Change --> Eight Degrees Below

I may have made up a couple of fake update titles but thats PROBABLY the order of the trilogy.

***Davlan, hear our cry! Please do something REALLY special for the Pocket God Anniversary! Maybe a SPECIAL EASTER EGG or ANNIVERSARY PACK or a functionality that is related to the anniversary a little bit! ***

Overall, I give this update a grade of an A+ for its awesomeness and lots of functionality!

Spoiler #1 Revealed

Hey guys, it's been a day since I posted Spoiler Game #1, and I've got some mixed feedback, just like my game last time. But overall, the feedback was pretty positive, so I'm gonna keep doing the games for most of the spoilers I have left.

However, I do think I started things off yesterday with a game way too challenging to be the first one, so tomorrow I'm gonna post a much, much easier one for you all to solve :)

(It's one of the new DLC for the dodo-bird, and it features him as a toy dodo, which is perfect for our christmas theme)

Lastly, if anyone solved yesterdays puzzle please comment below and share how you solved it for those who had trouble.

Here is my method:

I used Photoshop to rearrange the pieces by cutting and pasting.

Other methods could have included:

Printing it out on a piece of paper and cutting each image out/taping them together correctly

Using Paint

Hey guys, Malcom and I just wanted to take the time and wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving, Good Kwanza, Happy Hanukah, and just all around Happy Holidays :)

We are currently redecorating the blog (just for the holidays), and by the time you guys see this, well, the redecoration will have been finished ;)

News Update-A Post A Day?

Hey guys, your probably wondering what's been going on with Malcom and my posting schedules. We used to post around 1 or 2 posts everyday and now were only posting 1 every 2-4 days!

On the technical side of things:

Well, like we said a couple posts back, since the new update will be submitted on the 22nd, plus apples approval time, we won't be getting this update until early December (most likely).

Malcom and I don't have 40 posts tucked away in the back focusing on new and exciting things to post, that keep you guys interested each day. We have many cool picture posts, a couple fan art posts, and thats really it for now.

If we were to post a cool picture post every day, you guys would get bored of it, and we would run out of cool pictures, the same goes for fan art.

I will post a couple cool picture posts, a couple fan art posts, the pocket god world posts, and a couple poll results posts during this long and trecherous waiting time, and I will space them out so its around 1 every 3 days :)

The reason I posted this long and boring message is to let you guys know that Malcom and I aren't quitting the blog like most other blogs out there (we are one of the last left), but we are merely spacing our posts out to keep you (the readers) interested and give you something o read while you wait for the ice island!

Malcom and I will post news updates weekly, and I am soon gonna start up a forum for this blog, and also we will be starting a new feature on this blog that I am sure you guys will all enjoy ;)

Achievement Tips: Hunting The Rex and the Spider

Do you think its hard to kill the rex/spider? Do you want to know how to kill them easily? Then buy our new Book:

Hunting In PG For Dummies In Less Than 12 Spears Without Missing Or Being Eaten By The Spider Or The T-Rex As Fast As Possible (And This Unusually Long Book Title Ends Here)! By malcomjudd *$5 per copy*

Nah, not really. But here's some tips and a trick to kill the creatures under 12 spears:

Trick:
Step 1: Summon the Rex/Spider with only 1 Pygmy in the island.
Step 2: Give the spear to the Pygmy when the creature is greeting(bark/roar) the Pygmies.
Step 3: When the creature is charging at the Pygmy, immediately drag the Pygmy away from the creature to another place where you can throw another shot.
Step 3.5: When a Pygmy is being eaten by a creature, quickly add another Pygmy and immediately hand the spear to the Pygmy. It takes a split second(Rex) and a second(Spider) before the Eaten Pygmy is gone...
Step 4: Repeat until the creature dies.

Tips:
•Both creatures gain their health back when they eat a pygmy OR when youre doing nothing to em.
•When you throw the spear to the creature, keep hitting it AS FAST AS POSSIBLE with no bites or misses.
•Where you position the Pygmy is important. A Pygmy shouldnt be too far(will miss) or too close(be eaten or miss) to the creature.
•Dont use all of the 6 Pygmies. Only keep 1-2 Pygmies.
•Never drop the spear into the sea.
•Always aim for the head or the spear will pass through the creature.

There yah go! It took 3 days to fight, test, experiment and win to do this post. Hope that this will help you guys out! Please leave a comment if this Guide helped you or not... :P

Winners Revealed!

Hey guys, I know its been a while since the glitch contest gas started, but after reviewing the entries, examining the photos, and recreating all the glitches, I think I have found a winner ;)

As you all know there were two contests (1 for each glitch). For the main glitch contest (the one with the shark), I got many submissions and a clear winner, but for the second contest (the Island Mumbo Jumbo one), no one took the prizes :(

Island Mumbo Jumbo glitch:

There were a few submissions, but no one really got close, so I decided to call it a draw and defer to the other MAIN contest below:

Sticky-Tail Shark:

Here was the recreation of the glitch:

1. Go to Skull Island and have the ghosts and shark turned on

2. Summon a ghost

3. Pick up a shark and put it on a pygmies head

4. While the shark is on the pygmies head, hold the ghost with a different finger and make it scream

5. Hold the ghost until the pygmy dies

6. The shark will float in mid-air with its mouth open, and wherever you move the ghost, the shark will follow

"Fisherman Method"

These were the closest recreations we got to the actual glitch, but no one seemed to get the glitch 100% right.

To get the glitch 100% right, the shark's mouth had to be closed while it was floating... but this was close enough ;)

So with a total of 13 people submitting the recreation correctly, I had to choose the winner by how fast the people sent in their entries and if they were correct or not! Here are the top 3:

Well it looks like 59% of you guessed correctly, the next location is definately the long-awaited Ice Island! For those who guessed "Space" it looks like you have to wait for Pocket God 2. And for those who guessed "Jungle, Brain/animal/dream, volcano, or desert", who knows what could come next :)

Also if you guessed Atlantis, I think we already have that. And if you guessed Volcano, well lets just say that idea has been stolen by some rivals, who created Pocket Devil (please do not post about that here, thanks).
